Sunrise
Theme: Innocence
These ones are about spring and sunny days,
Back to the start of the winding pathways.
All things amazing, and all things nice,
Sit back with a bowl of soup, watch the sunrise. :)
Prismatic
Theme: Diversity
Light splits into seven different hues,
Red to yellow to green to blues.
Seven diverse poems, all the high and low,
All illuminated by a prismatic glow.
Wintergale
Theme: Loneliness
Wrapped inside a blanket, though everything’s cold,
I kind of miss the days when the skies were sunny-gold.
I’m writing poems, amidst the storm and hail,
Accompanied by nothing, but the wintergale.
Parchment
Theme: History
Careful when you hold parchment, it easily tears,
...just like the memories made in long-gone years.
But there’s still some memories time couldn’t kill,
Immortalised on parchment with some ink and a quill.
Overcast
Theme: Melancholy
I like to write down the words I’m ashamed to say,
I used to be on cloud nine, now the skies are grey.
I’ll let loose the overwhelming grief I’ve amassed.
For I’m in a writing mood now that the sky’s overcast.
Mind's Eye
Theme: Mental Health
You don’t see it on my face, but my mind’s in a spiral,
With these illnesses, I’m glad not all of them are viral.
Some label it insane, some label it berserk,
No one can completely understand how the mind works.
Crystal Ball
Theme: Mental Health
If I look into the crystal ball, will I figure it out?
Will I clear this air of confusion and doubt?
The mind works in weird ways, no one understands it all,
So I'll try to look deeper, like it's a crystal ball.
Crashed and Burning
Theme: Failure
I watch all that I worked for crash and burn,
As I try to smother it with the stones I left unturned.
I don’t know who burned the bridges, or who to blame,
All that I ever knew is going down in flames.
Miasma
Theme: Self-Reflection
Fog, fog, fog, all that I see is cloaked in mist.
Am I actually the worst monster that could ever exist?
I’m trying to reach through the smog to find help,
As I try to work through and figure out myself.
Letter To...
Theme: People
It’s cozy here in my corner of the universe,
I’m thinking of improving the situations I made worse.
Out of myself, to see if other people’s lives are better,
And so, to reach out and take a look, I’m writing a letter.
